A visit from Simon Lawford seemed a good chance for Tamara to drag us all along to her favourite eating place... Iydea! #10 on We Love Brighton's list is Go Vegie, and this is something perfect for Tamara who doesn't eat gluten or dairy so often gets stuck with vegie or vegan offerings. Mind you, Tyler and Erin enjoy the fare and getting Robert in there was a pretty amazing feat! He doesn't eat vegies, so the fact that he even hung around in the restaurant is a credit to the smells wafting from the kitchen.
So we may have tackled this task a few times already, and will probably continue to 'go vegie' over our time here due to the wide range of excellent veg places to eat in Brighton. We had fantastic breakfasts the other day at Wai Kika Moo Cow, so good in fact that we had two coffees each there, as well as sharing a plate of pancakes on top of our delicious savoury breakfast choices.
But - that wasn't today's place, so stop plugging their food - gah, we can't it was just so tasty!
Back to Iydea... Tamara has been floating past there every day, coming back to the flat with a selection of cakes one after the other. It's won some national awards from the Vegetarian Society as well as the Brighton & Hove Foodies and Tamara has been drooling and swearing politely about how good they are since we arrived. Given her endorsment we gave it a whirl.
Scrumplicious! We got one large plate to share between three of us because the servings are so darn big, and it was plenty for a snack lunch. The vegetables, the hummus, and the chilli enchilada were all excellent and I think we'll eat there again. Gosh we are becoming people of habit, and it seems we think more about food sometimes than anything else. We Love Brighton, why are there so many food establishments on your list? Do we need to try them all? Is this another challenge in itself?
Well, we were satisfied with our savoury choice. The coffee was hit or miss - Tyler scored a nice one, and Erin got a really yukky one... Tamara got her favourite piece of cake to finish and we left for Choccywoccydoodah for more desert. Again.
