Today we ended up choosing something decadent off the We Love Brighton list. We were heading out to get an afternoon coffee before sitting down to do some work back at our flat and relax a little after the franticness of the last few days. Then we turned a corner into the lanes, and BAM! ... #6 Browse the Chocolatey Delights at Choccywoccydoodah.
First of all, a chocolate shop named Choccywoccydoodah is bound to be brilliant, especially for those of us who like to communicate occasionally in gobbledigook. Secondly, I don't think we've ever seen such enormous bags of chocolate goodies or giant blocks of rocky road, or fist sized colourful chocolate ducks and other delicious things! We were going to gift each other a pink chocolate heart but then discovered the secret cafe tucked away upstairs...
Up the stairs we clambered, into a gorgeously decorated, quirky cafe, with lovely staff and a menu full of chocolate offerings - enought to satisfy any hardcore chocolate fan. Wonka's chocolate factory has some serious competition here!
We excitedly placed our order and quick enough, were presented with a scrumptious selection of treats. Coffee, cream, macaroons, dipping chocolate, and an enormous chocolate brownie icecream sundae! For the first few minutes we couldn't even speak, we were concentrating so hard on the flavours exploding on our tastebuds. The next few sentences went a bit like this...
TYLER: Mmmmm, oh god, this is... oh
ERIN: Yeah, oh my, it's, phewph, wowee
TYLER: Oh... so goooood!
ERIN: (something mumbled incomprehesibly with a full mouth)
TYLER: Robert would like this
ERIN: yahah, we should definitely come back
TYLER: I think... amazing
ERIN: Oh gosh I don't think I can finish!
TYLER: I haven't even touched my coffee yet!
That last sentence is something quite unbelievable, as those of you who know Tyler can well understand, coffee is a staple of his daily diet, and nothing is more important than imbibing the caffinated drink when you have it in front of you.
We tried our hardest to finish the goodies we'd ordered, but when Tyler collapsed on the table, we decided maybe it was time to make a move. If we could roll home quickly enough we could pass out in our chocolate induced comas without worrying about getting even more chocolate in our fluffy freshly washed hair.
