It is the year 2042.
The film industry as we know it is dead; out of money and out of ideas.
A has-been producer and an ambitious young screenwriter believe they've hit the jackpot when a mysterious femme fatale offers them the rights to a little-known 60s television show...a property they can use to revive mega-budget movie franchises!
But turning the adventures of Selma the dutiful housewife into an action-packed blockbuster turns out to be an exercise fraught with danger, intrigue and various perils, with potentially apocalyptic consequences.

POINT & SHOOT is a frenetic, funny musical satire that sees four actors take on a plethora of roles, while simultaneously singing, dancing and accompanying themselves on a variety of musical instruments. For 75 madcap minutes the audience is plunged into a world of lightning-quick costume changes, increasingly ridiculous plot twists, showstopping musical numbers and the occasional explosion. It's musical theatre as you've never seen it before!
POINT & SHOOT premiered in February 2014 at Perth's Fringe World Festival. The production, directed by Tyler Jones and Gemma Hall, and starring Jones, Robert Woods, Erin Hutchinson and Tamara Woolrych, enjoyed a successful season that was ultimately extended due to popular demand. At the Fringe World Awards, POINT & SHOOT won the Artrage Theatre Award for Best Theatre Production and the coveted Martin Sims Award for Best New Western Australian Work.
POINT & SHOOT was invited to perform a season for the 2014 Brisbane Festival at La Boite Studio, and subsequently toured to the Sydney Fringe 2014, taking the award for the Musical Theatre & Cabaret category. They finished their tour of the eastern states of Australia with a successful season for Melbourne Fringe at Revolt Melbourne Artspace. The return season for Fringe World 2015 earnt the production runner up in the Music & Musicals category.
POINT & SHOOT had it's first international tour in 2015, performing at Brighton Fringe Festival as part of the curated Otherplace Productions theatre selection. The show won an Argus Angel in the first weekend, was nominated for The Brighton Fringe Award for Theatre and The Latest Comedy Award, and won the Argus Archangel Award. POINT & SHOOT also had their premiere London performance in May 2015 at The King's Head.
Currently in discussion as to next plans, the production is in rest mode while all cast are involved in other projects - never fear though - it will return!
